What a weekend! Our Performance Ranch corporate team showed up strong for the Zia Rides 24 Hours in the Enchanted Forest—and it was nothing short of legendary. One team. Five riders. And a full day of challenge, camaraderie, and growth.
Our crew included myself, Frank, and Eric—all three of us preparing for the big hut-to-hut mountain bike trip in August—plus two of our friends, Terry and David, who are regulars on our Performance Ranch group rides. Together, we pushed through the ups, downs, dust, and darkness of the course with one shared goal: ride with heart and finish strong.
One of the most unforgettable moments? That night lap. It was surreal—just me, a bike headlight, my headlamp, and a fast-moving trail through the New Mexico Ponderosa Pine forest. It challenged my focus, my courage, and reminded me exactly why we train the way we do.
The race itself was exceptionally well-run. From the gracious volunteers and seamless logistics to the family-friendly atmosphere, kids’ events, live band, and a killer lineup of vendors, Zia Rides delivered top-tier organization and stoke all weekend long. Hats off to the whole team that made it possible.
We brought our recovery tools: foam rollers, Hyperice vibrating rollers, and breathwork mats. Between laps, we coached each other, recovered with intention, and maintained a high momentum. That’s what Performance Ranch is all about—living life beyond the gym walls.
