There was always something missing.

But over time, I started to notice a pattern.
People were training hard…

And that’s where things break down.
We live in a high-stress world.
Work. Family. Responsibilities. Deadlines. Expectations.
Then we come into the gym and add more stress—the good kind, but still stress.
And if you don’t have a way to regulate that?
It builds up.
It shows up as:
I’ve lived it. I’ve seen it. And I knew we needed to address it better.
Not with more workouts.

There were a few moments that made this real for me.
One of the biggest was during my elk hunt.
Cold mornings. High stress. Total exposure to the elements.
And what stood out to me wasn’t just the physical challenge—it was the mental side.
Your ability to stay calm under stress.
Your ability to control your breathing.
Your ability to respond instead of react.
That’s a skill.
And most people never train it.
At the same time, I had been experimenting with cold plunging at home. Sitting in a stock tank in my backyard, breaking ice in the mornings.
Not because it was comfortable.
But because it forced me to face something hard… and learn how to handle it.
That changed me.
As I dove deeper into the research—and my own experience—it became clear:
