“What does ‘live life beyond the gym walls’ mean?” This foundational question guided the creation of Performance Ranch in 2017. Our approach was conceived as an alternative to the competitive atmosphere of CrossFit, focusing instead on enabling our clients to transfer their fitness achievements to their passions outside the gym. This initiative is not just about physical fitness—it’s about building a community of individuals who inspire and support each other inside and outside our walls.
My personal experiences greatly influenced this philosophy. As an avid mountain biker who frequently rode with UFC fighters, many of whom were new to mountain biking, I understood the necessity of adapting workouts to enhance real-world skills. During 2017, at the height of my involvement with UFC fighters, I focused on tailoring training to improve their performance in the octagon by analyzing and adapting to the movements they mastered and those they found challenging. This approach of making fitness applicable continues to shape our methodology at Performance Ranch.
