What Is the Foundation Phase?

The Foundation Phase is the starting point for every client who walks through our doors. It’s also a phase that many of our long-time members revisit at least once per year.

Think of it as pouring the concrete before you build the house.

This 12-week cycle emphasizes:

  • Movement quality over intensity
  • Breathwork and posture
  • Mobility and core control
  • Low-impact strength training
  • Hands-on coaching in every session

We slow things down to hardwire proper mechanics, enhance mind-muscle connection, and create a more stable, injury-resistant body.

Why Every New Client Starts Here

When you join Performance Ranch, we start by getting a full picture of your current state:

  • Kinotek 3D Movement Analysis: Our newest tool for identifying hidden limitations.
  • InBody Scan: Body composition baseline.
  • 5-Minute Metabolic Test: Measures aerobic capacity.
  • Optional Lab Testing & Nutrition Education: Because what’s happening internally matters just as much as what you can lift.

From there, you’re coached through foundational movements—squat, hinge, push, pull, carry—along with proper breathing techniques and aerobic development.
